Looking back I am not sure if the Gods were smiling on us or laughing loudly.
Loki the Norse God of mischief surely raced beside us as we fought the winds on the last stretch to the North Cape.
Using every trick he had even he could not keep the Crow from flying, and fly he did, with me along for the ride.
Even August is pushing your luck with the weather. You can feel and see the change each day in the bright crisp morning, in the still blueness of the water and in the biting wind that seeks any possible entry to steal away your body warmth.
I have yet to determine who receives the worst of the frigid blast. The pilot behind the wind screen or the hapless person behind the pilot who has a backwash from every direction
I do know that without my water and windproof Motophoria jacket I would have frozen.
The design is long and stylish with a zip off collar that fits up under your helmet, zip in thermal liner and plenty of large pockets for storage! Add their comfortable black and red leather gloves and I was all set for any kind of weather. Even the North Cape!
My protection, my shelter, my daily garb, my cover, my pillow, My pallet by night, carrying everything I needed along the way. Pockets bulging with chocolate, fruit, coins and an occasional rock, documents, cash, credit card and camera I was ready to greet each day!
One gentleman in Buenos Aires graciously told me that I looked much younger in my beautiful red jacket. Something every lady likes to hear. Thank you Motophoria!
